Regarding the use of Amiodarone in the treatment of cardiac arrest:
a) Is indicated after the third shock if there is pulseless electrical activity.
b) Slows the cardiac rhythm by prolonging the action potential and refractory period.
c) Has a negative inotropic action by a non – competitive beta – blocking effects.
d) Amiodarone 150 mg IV is the recommended dose for broad complex ventricular tachycardia.
